| 2007 Recertification Notice
Individuals who are waiting for a certificate of participation for completing a job analysis survey should also list the appropriate number of CEPTCs on page 5 of the recertification application form Category 1 log sheet. ABTC has the ability to confirm participation in the job analyses surveys and will do so for individuals listing this in Category 1 activities. | |
To maintain the CCTC/CPTC status you must accumulate 60 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) within the three-year period prior to the recertification submission deadline date, which is September 30. A minimum of 20 CEPTCs submitted in Category 1 must be earned by attending a program approved by ABTC, test question writing approved by ABTC, completion of CEPTC offerings in the Progress in Transplantation journal, and/or ABTC committee membership.
Coordinators who are dually certified must accumulate 90 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) within the three-year period prior to the recertification submission deadline date, which is September 30. A minimum of 35 CEPTCs submitted in Category 1 must be earned by attending a program approved by ABTC, test question writing approved by ABTC, completion of CEPTC offerings in the Progress in Transplantation journal, and/or ABTC committee membership by dually certified coordinators. Dually certified coordinators can request that their recertification cycles be synchronized by calling the ABTC Executive Office at (913) 895.4603. A pro-rated fee will be assessed for the shorter recertification period.
